Why Choose a Cosmetic Filler?
Over time skin begins to lose volume and structure. That’s when lines and wrinkles begin to appear. There are many options now available to improve the appearance of your skin. But when it comes to deeper wrinkles, injectable cosmetic fillers offer the best and most immediate improvement. The fillers used today offer more long lasting results and don’t require an allergy test. The procedure is simple and can be done during your lunch hour.
What Types of Cosmetic Fillers Are Available?
The answer is many. New products are being introduced at a rapid rate. At Allure MD Spa & Wellness Center we’re keeping pace with the latest advances and are pleased to offer you only the best. Allure MD Spa & Wellness Center will help you determine which cosmetic filler is right for you.
Which Facial Areas Respond Best to Treatment?
Cosmetic fillers work exceptionally well on wrinkles all around the mouth, worry lines in the forehead, they can enhance cheekbones and jaw-lines, and can be used near the eyes to bring out “sunken eyes”. Many people have fillers placed in the back of their hands to minimize the look of bones and veins. And if you’ve ever desired fuller lips, a filler is the perfect choice!
Fillers can also be used in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures for those seeking the ultimate in facial rejuvenation.?
How Are Treatments Performed?
The injections are an in-office procedure taking less than 30 minutes of your time. During the treatment a tiny needle is used to inject the filler beneath the wrinkle or depression, into your own collagen base. With a small amount of lidocaine patients generally experience minimal discomfort.
What Can I Expect Following the Treatment?
Normal activities can be resumed immediately following the treatment. Mild swelling at the treatment site may last for a few hours and you might experience some slight bruising, which can generally be covered with make-up if it occurs.
Results can only be evaluated after any potential swelling has gone down. Your practitioner knows that it is always better to err on the side of caution using a little less filler initially. You can always opt to increase the amount later.
The results from a cosmetic filler are temporary and can easily be repeated. The newer generations of fillers used at Allure MD Spa & Wellness Center last anywhere from 6 months to a year or more.

There are many injectable cosmetic fillers on the market today. At Allure MD Spa & Wellness Center, we use a variety of products depending on what is most appropriate for your particular needs. In most cases, the various hyaluronic acid cosmetic fillers like Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm products generate the best results.
Is it safe?
The hyaluronic acid in cosmetic fillers is biodegradable, which means that, when the injected gel breaks down, it turns into water and carbon dioxide and disappears unnoticed from your body.
What will happen during treatment?
Your Injector will determine the areas and extent of treatment by discussing your objectives and then use the most appropriate product to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result. Areas that can be treated include wrinkle correction and lip enhancements, correcting thin superficial lines, around the mouth; and shaping facial contours, such as cheeks and chin, correcting deep folds, and for volume augmentation of the lips. You will receive several tiny injections in the areas to be treated.
How long does treatment take?
The treatment can usually be done in about 10 – 15 minutes and no recovery time is needed. The only visible signs that you’ve had anything done are some potential redness or minor bruising around the injection points. However, this is very minor and many people have a cosmetic filler treatment in their lunchtime and return to work in the afternoon.
How quickly will I see results?
The result is instantaneous and produces a long-lasting, natural enhancement, gentle and safe to your skin.
How long will cosmetic fillers last?
Cosmetic fillers are long lasting but not permanent. You always have a choice to continue or change the combination of treatments – and the procedure can be repeated as often as you like. Most clients choose to have a follow-up treatment 6 – 18 months after an initial treatment of wrinkles.
Does it hurt a lot?
For most people, discomfort is usually minimal and brief. Most clients compare the sensation to a pin prick. The Restylane and Juvederm we use, contains lidocaine, which can minimize any discomfort. We may also numb the area with a cold pack rior to injecting.
Is there any reason I shouldn’t have treatment?
During your consultation, a medical history will be taken to assess any risks that would preclude treatment.
What are the side effects?
Immediately after treatment, there may be slight redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injection. The inconvenience is temporary and generally disappears in a few days. This means that the results directly after the treatment should not be seen as the final result.
Will I look unnatural after treatment?
At Allure MD Spa & Wellness Center, we strive for a natural looking result via subtle improvements. Friends may comment that you look more relaxed, but treatment will not radically alter your appearance; it will simply reduce lines and wrinkles.
Do I have to be a certain age to have Cosmetic filler treatment?
Cosmetic filler treatments are generally thought to be safe to use in individuals aged between 18 and 70. Wrinkle and line treatment will usually be of benefit to those 25 years or older.
